TC Subaru moves on from COVID-19 with a four-pronged approach

TC Subaru (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Thailand adopts a four-pronged approach to move on from the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Tawan Kamrit, Country Manager of TC Subaru (Thailand) Co., Ltd., shared on the approach which encourages the community to move forward together with Subaru:

TC Subaru’s approach in moving on from COVID-19:

  1. Boost confidence and safety for customers
  2. Encourage and support the medical staff
  3. Support and develop Subaru dealerships network nationwide
  4. Prioritise employee health and safety

1) Boost confidence and safety for customers: Safety measures such as temperature checks, social distancing, and thorough sanitising of showrooms & service areas are in place to curb the spread of COVID-19. Customers may also make use of the Subaru Private Appointment service to book a private appointment or alternatively request for a test drive at home.

2) Encourage and support the medical frontliners: TC Subaru shows its support for medical frontliners through community initiatives such as the #STAYSAFE campaign where proceeds were donated to the Thammasat Field Hospital to support its operations. TC Subaru also regularly educates employees, reminding them to take care of themselves and their families in order to reduce COVID-19 infection risks.

3) Support and develop Subaru dealerships network nationwide: TC Subaru values the relationship with its network of dealers, continually providing close support and guidance on a diverse range of issues through regular meetings. Just as Subaru is at the forefront of safety in our vehicles, we are committed to collaborating with our dealers in staying safe and positive, doing our part in supporting the community’s march forward and move on. As the Tan Chong Subaru group has experienced the battle to protect our teams across Asia, our Management team in Thailand, led by Mr Tawan, has been sharing best practices gleaned from our other markets to help our dealers and staff stay safe, stay confident and move on.

4) Prioritise employee health and safety: Over 85% of employees have been given access to vaccination so as to boost confidence and safety at the workplace. Subaru staff who are vaccinated will wear the “Vaccinated Against COVID-19” pin. Besides ensuring the safety of our service staff and allowing them to return to work confidently, this also provides a peace of mind to our customers.

Subaru has invested over 5 billion baht in an assembly plant in Thailand, Tan Chong Subaru Automotive Thailand Co., Ltd (TCSAT) which was opened in 2019. The Company, group businesses, affiliates and distributors across Thailand take employee health and safety seriously.

“TC Subaru encourages the community to move on during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are confident that Thailand is ready to boost its economy," said Mr. Tawan, “The recently launched All-New Outback saw a huge demand with deliveries already scheduled in September. This is in addition to the demand for Subaru XV and Subaru Forester. TC Subaru is always at the forefront of upcoming launch of new car models and will continue to support our community and especially our dealers and owners with the latest updates and technologies.”
